Aneliese Bernard
Founder & Director
Aneliese Bernard is the Founder and Director of Strategic Stabilization Advisors (SSA). For over a decade she worked in North and West Africa on counterterrorism, stabilization, disarmament, demobilization and reintegration (DDR), and security sector reform. Aneliese previously served as the Stabilization Advisor with the U.S. Department of State in Niger, where she managed the U.S. Counter-Boko Haram strategy and led a regional defections and reintegration program spanning the Lake Chad Basin and Sahel.
